ABOUT MICHELE DANCE STUDIO

Michele Dance Studio opened in September of 1977

Michele McAbee, Studio Owner & Director:

*Studied locally

*Then studied dance in Pittsburgh at Andrea Dance Studio

*Moved to live in New York where she studied with Steubenville native, Luigi

*Also studied acrobat with Charles Kelley in New York

Michele formed the Steel City Strutter marching group in 1978. The Steel City Strutters have performed in parades throughout the Ohio Valley during Christmas and in July. 

Michele Dance Studio has a mini, junior, teen, and senior competition squad which has been competing in places all across the nation. 

Michele Dance Studio has performed:

​*6 times in Disney World

​*The Big Red Boat Cruise Line

​*A Costa Cruise Line 

*In the Bahamas

*Various Festivals in the Ohio Valley

We take so much pride in knowing that our students have found their love of dance and took it to the next level. We have students that have gone on to teach dance professionally and own their our studio. We also are proud to announce that we have students with dance degrees from various universities. We have had some of our students be selected for WV Govenors School of the Arts, and we have also won at numerous dance competitions which include Regionals, Nationals, and International Dance Competitions.
